30th Nov 2004 Stagg Attacks Proposed M3 Motorway at Hill of Tara Emmet Stagg TD has described the proposed M3 motorway route plan through the Tara/Skryne Valley as, "cultural vandalism akin to ripping a knife through a Rembrandt", during a Dail debate on the issue of the M3 Motorway on 24/11/04. Stagg called on the Government to discontinue their plans to route the M3 through the Tara/Skryne Valley and went on to say that the Hill of Tara is, "as much a symbol of our national identity as the Tricolour".
